North Glengarry Approves Major Developments
North Glengarry council has approved two key projects that will bring significant development to the Township. A new two-storey head office for MacEwen Petroleum is set to be built in Maxville, revitalizing the site of the former high school. Meanwhile, a zoning amendment clears the way for a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) on a 15-acre property near Skye Road, designed to store and redistribute energy during peak demand. The project will include noise mitigation measures and landscaping to blend into the surroundings.
